Lifecycle Support at Kol Dorot
There are times in life to celebrate, explore, or to mourn. At Kol Dorot, our clergy team provides support for you wherever you are in your life.
Births, Baby Naming, Brit Milah (Bris)
A new baby! What a wonderful celebration! The Kol Dorot Clergy are here to help you plan a baby naming ceremony for your child. Brit Milah (bris)? We are happy to recommend Mohelim in the area who are sensitive to Interfaith Families and Reform Jewish identity.
Bar and Bat Mitzvah
The Bar/Bat Mitzvah is an important milestone in a young person's Jewish journey. During the bar/bat mitzvah year, students work with the clergy and tutors to learn their Torah portions, complete a mitzvah project, and much more.
Marriage
Beginning a new life together, creating a new family identity, are precious times in a couple’s journey towards marriage. Our clergy are excited to help you towards your marriage! Interfaith weddings are officiated by our clergy. Please call the office for more information.
Conversion
Joining the Jewish people and embarking on your Jewish Journey takes time and serious conversation. We understand that there are many reasons a person considers conversion. Our clergy is happy to meet with you and explain the conversion process, and assist you as you travel through. Exploring conversion does not require you to convert – and you may discuss that with your clergy leader.
Loss and Mourning
Life comes with loss. If you are arranging a funeral, Shiva or unveiling, please feel free to reach out. With other losses in life, such as miscarriage and job loss, our clergy is here to support you.
